1. Do you charge any admin fees?

No we do not charge any admin fees and are striving to keep to our 100% Donation Policy

2. If you are in New Zealand how is there a team in Afghanistan?

Our team in Afghanistan is a group of volunteers focused on helping making a difference

3. Do we get a receipt?

If you donate online you will get an email automatically with your receipt, if you do via account transfer you can email us on info@reviveafghanistan.org and we will send you a receipt.

4. Are donations Tax Deductible?

Unfortunately New Zealand requires 75% or more of donations made to be spent in New Zealand and a maximum of 25% overseas to be eligible, we currently give 100% of your donations overseas in Afghanistan. Unless you get an overseas Donee Status.

5. What is an Overseas Donee Status and are you getting it?

An Overseas Donee Status is for charities who spend 75% or more donations outside of New Zealand, this requires a law change for the charity to be officially excluded from the requirement of spending 75% in New ZEaland.

Yes we are working closely with the IRD to get our “Overseas Donee Status”, once we get this status then all donations will be tax deductible, our current target date is May 2025 which is when the committee comes together next.
